Cookie Policy

Our cookie policy and how we use them

Effective date: April 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how FlowDiff (“FlowDiff,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on our website and within the FlowDiff application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information between visits. We also use related browser-storage technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage; these are referred to collectively as “cookies” in this policy.

Cookies can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by services we integrate with). They can also be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (kept for a set period).

2. How We Use Cookies

FlowDiff uses cookies for a small number of essential purposes and does not use them for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core features. They handle authentication, session continuity, and security checks such as CSRF protection. They are set by FlowDiff and our authentication provider, Supabase.

Functional

These cookies remember preferences such as your selected language or interface state across visits. They are not required for the Service to work, but disabling them will cause the interface to forget your preferences between sessions.

Payments

When you visit the billing area or complete a checkout, Stripe—our payment processor—sets cookies on its own domains to detect fraud, prevent bots, and process payments securely. These cookies are governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

3. Categories at a Glance

  • Authentication / session— first-party and Supabase, strictly necessary, persistent across login duration.
  • Locale preference— first-party, functional, persistent.
  • Stripe billing and fraud prevention— third-party, strictly necessary on billing pages.

We do not currently use advertising, analytics, or social-media tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent before any such cookies are set.

4. Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Because the cookies above are necessary for the Service to function, blocking them may make it impossible to sign in, complete a purchase, or use other parts of the Service.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves. The effective date above shows when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or, where appropriate, communicated by email.
